Spring and Summer Crops

Hard to believe that in January we are planning the menus for spring and summer.  Thanks to Karen McManus of Wolf Moon Farms, we have a say of what is being planted this year.  Karen has asked us to pick from a seed catalogue new items that we would like to see.  As the book was passed around the kitchen, new ideas were flowing and excitement filled the air.  We are fortunate to work with a grower as dedicated as Karen.  Also, Chimney Park will begin to recycle compostable food products to fertilize Wolf Moon Farms crops.  Now that’s from farm to table back to farm!

Cheese and Wine Tasting

Sunday January 31st

Local Cheeses and Argentine Wines

Come sample from local dairies and cheese makers – Windsor Dairy, Cozy Cow Dairy, Mouco and Haystack Mountain.  Sample Chardonnay and Malbec from the Mendoza region of Argentina.  Malbec is a hot varietal and receiving press…so we’re going to see what they are all about.

Price is $25 per person and begins at 5:30pm.  Call 970-686-1477 for more details.
