Chimney Park Hosts Art Show Featuring Local Artist

Proceeds go to Operation Frontline Colorado to Fight Hunger

On Sunday March 30th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Chimney Park Restaurant and Bar along with J. Markley Studio will present the local artist’s current work.  Admission is $10 per person and will include wine and light hors d’ oeuvres.  Artist Jennifer Markley will donate 40% of the sale price from each piece sold to Operation Frontline Colorado.  Chimney Park will donate $5 per attendee to the organization as well.

Mrs. Markley’s work can be described as contemporary botanicals and landscapes in acrylic on canvas.  “I find great balance in having two wonderful careers.   As an artist I love to bring my paintings to life with texture, movement, composition and color.  As a pediatrician I have the fulfilling and unique opportunity to improve the health and wellbeing of my young patients.  Any charity that supports the nutritional needs of children is a very worthy cause; I am honored to donate part of the proceeds.”  Jennifer lives is Fort Collins with her husband, son and daughter.

Both the artwork and charity are familiar to Chimney Park.  Markley’s art is currently on display at the restaurant.  The restaurant rose over $2000 on Christmas Eve for OFC.

“It is great to be working with Operation Frontline Colorado again; Jennifer has been so gracious in donating her time to this organization” said restaurant owner and Chef Jason Shaeffer.

All of the proceeds generated will be used to fund Operation Frontline Colorado’s highly regarded approach to fighting hunger and malnutrition through culinary education.   Operation Frontline, a Share Our Strength program, is a national nutrition education and financial literacy program developed to address the root causes of hunger and food insecurity in the United States.
